Breakfast, Day 2

She's waffling: Granny works the Fudge Puppy maker

Time to go continental.
I order a Granny's Kitchen Fudge Puppy -- a Belgian waffle the size of a large hotdog covered with chocolate.
It's not deep-fried, so it's fairly light.
I add whipped cream, sprinkles and strawberries.
With it I sip a cup of European roasted coffee from French Meadow's scone stand.
Positively civilized.
I see Granny herself -- 87-year-old Irene Foster of Sartell, Minnesota -- working the batter.
Fudge Puppy groupies flock to the stand.
Go, Granny, go!
