Day 2: Dinner

Hey, why are all these people at my Fair?

After last night's Great Minnesota Wet-Together, the throngs have appeared. After a day of free reign, I now find myself having to compete with the rest of the herd for space at the trough.

And yet I have found real food -- the first since yesterday's pork chop.
It's Minnekabobs -- teriyaki-style shishkabobs with chunks of marinated meat separated by slices of onion and green and red peppers.

I'm back in action. I feast on beef and chicken. I crave the veggies.

Eric Hansen of Elk River, the man running the booth, says it's all from Minnesota farms -- the veggies from Cottage Grove and the meat from down south.
